للتو أعلنت الأكاديمية البريطانية للسينما و التلفيزيون عن قائمة المرشحين لجوائزها التي تكرم أفضل الإنجازات في عالمي السينما و التلفيزيون و الشهيرة بالـ (بافتا) ، و على خلاف المتوقع قاد فيلم المخرج الأميركي ويس أندرسن The Grand Budapest Hotel القائمة بنيله 11 ترشيحاً متبوعاً بفيلم المخرج البريطاني جيمس مارش The Theory Of Everything الذي نال عشر ترشيحات ، ثم فيلم المخرج البريطاني مورتن تيلدم The Imitation Game الذي حصد 9 ترشيحات وخسر ترشيحاً في فئة أفضل إخراج لصالح داميان تشازيل عن Whiplash الذي نال ترشيحاً شخصياً آخراً في فئة أفضل سيناريو أصلي .
و اكتفى فرسا الرهان في سباق موسم الجوائز في هوليوود هذا العام Birdman للمكسيكي أليخاندرو غوانزاليس إينياريتو و Boyhood للأميركي ريتشارد لينكليتر بسبع ترشيحاتٍ و خمسة على التوالي مكملين مع سابقيهم عقد الأفلام الخمسة المرشحة للجائزة الكبرى .
و نال البريطاني ريف فاينز ترشيحاً في فئة أفضل ممثل عن أدائه في The Grand Budapest
Hotel مستفيداً ربما من ترشيح ستيف كاريل في فئة أفضل ممثل مساعد عن أدائه في Foxcatcher ، بينما نالت النجمة أيمي آدامز ترشيحاً
في فئة أفضل ممثلة عن أدائها في فيلم تيم بيرتن Big Eyes على حساب جينيفر أنيستن
و ماريون كوتيار ، بينما غابت جيسيكا تشاستين و ميريل ستريب عن فئة أفضل ممثلة مساعدة لصالح تواجد أيميلدا ستونتن
و رينيه روسو .
